Local Priorities

Great Bridge Retail Park and High Street have been repeatedly been targeted by anti-social behaviour (ASB), prolific shoplifting and begging, attracting drug use to the area.

Issued: 1 Jun 2026

Status Update

We have been working closely with partner agencies over the past few months, which has seen the majority of the homeless people re-housed, along with a reduction of drug use. We are making use of community protection warnings and notices, to divert aggressive beggars and ASB away from the retail park and great bridge in general, where we arrested and charged a male for breaching his notice and possessing a knife in Dec 25. We are still actively pursuing these notices and ensuring they remain enforced, as well as also investigating shop theft matters and charging a number of offenders, some of which have now been remanded.

Actioned: 1 Jun 2026

Antisocial Behaviour In Tipton Green:
We have received complaints of ongoing antisocial behaviour such as drug use including nitrous oxide in Victoria Park, Tipton, which has affected the enjoyment of the park for local residents
