Status Update
2025 was a busy year for the Eastfield & Filey Neighbourhood policing team, in all 12 warrants were executed across the area with arrests and positive outcomes. We will continue to disrupt and deter those who engage in any form of drug related activity within our communities.
2026 brings a new start we will continue to work with our community and deal with issues that you raise and what matters to you.

*Update 14/01/2026*
You can report any drug related suspicious activity via our on line submission portal on the Northyorkshire police website or alternatively via crimestoppers. If you notice persons frequenting an address numerous times or vehicles travelling to and from then it is highly likely that there is some drug activity at the address. We need your help to help us tackle, target and disrupt drug activity within our community
*Update 19th January 2026*
Eastfield and Filey Neighbourhood policing team executed a warrant at an address on the Eastfield estate. There was evidence of a previous cannabis grow that had been dismantled. The team will continue to disrupt and deter drug activity we want to thank the community for your continued support in providing information.
**Update 04/03/2026** on Monday 2nd March a vehicle was stopped in the Eastfield area containing persons who are linked to drug activity all 3 occupants were arrested and an amount of pills have been located in the vehicle - all 3 remain under investigation at this time
** Update 19/03/2026 **
A vehicle acting suspiciously was stopped on Eastway in Eastfield. The driver passed a road side drugs test. A Traffic Offence Report was issued for incorrect spacing on the registration plate.
A vehicle was stopped on Westway in Eastfield. The driver failed a roadside drugs test so was arrested on suspicion of drug driving. A search of the vehicle was carried out but no drugs located.
**Update 06/04/2026 a local person was arrested for offences unrelated to drugs however subsequent searches of property found drug paraphernalia at a property linked to the individual a number of items seized and the investigation continues
**Update 23rd April 2026**
A total of 3 warrants have been executed within the Eastfield area on the 22/04/26 in relation to drug activity. These warrants formed part of a wider enforcement operation focused on tackling serious and organised criminality. Investigations are under way

Status Update
During 2025 Eastfield & Filey Neighbourhood policing team worked with the community to tackle ASB. Some positive results during 2025 we successfully implemented a closure order at a property in rural Scarborough. The result of which brought back peace and reassurance within the community. The team were involved in seizing a number of vehicles being used in ASB on the estate. ASB violent incidents were quickly attended and arrests of individuals made with positive outcomes.
A male was arrested for a number of burglary offences in the Eastfield area. These just a few examples of our work during 2025.

*Update 14/01/2026 *
We are experiencing a rise in the use of off road bikes and quad bikes on the Eastfield Estate in and around the Dell. We are reaching out to the community to please report any sightings of ASB riding when it is happening.
** Update 04/03/2026 we are still having reports of bikes being used in an ASB manner please continue to report any issues you can do this by contacting 101 or making an on line report
**05/03/2026 Update** In the evening of 4th March officers on patrol have sighted 2 x surron bikes riding on the estate one rider wearing a black balaclava officers attempt to stop one of these bikes made off later to be stopped a short pursuit resulted in an arrest and riders reported for traffic offences
**27/03/2026 update** There has been a number of reports involving youths in the Eastfield area causing residents some significant concern. In collaboration with our Housing colleagues there will be visits conducted over the coming weeks as a reminder of the responsibilities of tenants and ASB
**06/04/2026 we have been receiving a high number of reports in relation to youths in the Eastfield area causing concern. Please continue to report any incidents via the control room we will be providing reassurance patrols in those effected areas
**Update 23rd April 2026**
A high Visibility deployment by the off road bike team was carried out across known hotspot locations in the Eastfield and Filey areas including the Dell and Bluebell woods aimed at disrupting the nuisance riding, deterring further anti-social behaviour and providing reassurance to residents affected by persistent off -road and E-bike riders

OP Tourist - In our ongoing commitment to creating safer communities, we work closely with a range of partners including local authorities, licensed premises, community safety teams and support services to reduce drink related ASB and all forms of violence, particularly violence against women and girls. Through joint initiatives such as high-visibility patrols and targeted operations. We aim to prevent incidents before they occur having proactive engagement, raising public awareness and encouraging reporting.
Our collaborative approach ensures that interventions are intelligence-led and victim-focused, with shared responsibility across agencies to promote safety and well being. By fostering strong relationships and open communication, we are better equipped to identify emerging risks, respond swiftly to concerns such as spiking, and support vulnerable individuals. Together, we are building a more resilient and respectful environment for everyone who lives in, works in, or visits our communities.

Filey NPT team will continue our commitment to create safer communities working with our partner agencies and working closely with the community in 2026. During 2025 the community supported our policing priorities providing us with vital information to assist us in tackling important issues.

Officers attended a report of a Domestic incident which resulted in the swift arrest of a suspect within the hour of reporting the female party was safeguarded. The suspect remains under investigation.
** update 2nd March 2026** Filey NPT team attended a number of the holiday parks and carried out some inputs with our partners around what to look out for around domestic violence, exploitation it was a really well received day working together with our partners we will continue through the year to carry out engagement days
**Update 06/04/2026 officers attended reports of a drunk male causing issues at one of the holiday parks refusing to leave officers attended swiftly and were able to disrupt and further instances by removing the male from the area
**Update 23rd April 2026**
As part of a wider operation on the coast on the 22nd April 2026 officers carried out high visibility patrols within the Filey area engaging with communities providing reassurance. The deployments included traffic enforcement , retail crime and other partner led operations
