Local Priorities

Drug misuse and anti-social behaviour

Issued: 28 Feb 2026

Status Update

In the next three months, the neighbourhood policing team will prioritise tackling drug misuse and anti-social behaviour linked to groups gathering in public areas, following clear concerns from the community. We will target key hotspots where this behaviour is causing intimidation and disruption, using assertive patrols, focused enforcement and community intelligence to disrupt offenders, safeguard vulnerable people and restore confidence in the affected locations.

Continued focus around tackling Anti Social behaviour

Issued: 30 Nov 2025

Status Update

Over the next three months, we’re prioritising action on groups causing anti-social behaviour and street gang activity in our community. This includes tackling intimidation, disorder, and criminal behaviour linked to these groups. You’ll see more high-visibility patrols in hotspot areas, targeted interventions, and enforcement against those involved in gang-related crime. We’ll also work closely with local authorities, youth services, and community partners to prevent violence, reduce harm, and keep our streets safe for everyone.

Tackling anti-social behaviour (ASB) that is negatively impacting residents, businesses, and public spaces. This includes disruptive conduct such as intimidation, vandalism, noise nuisance, and disorderly gatherings.

Issued: 28 Aug 2025

Status Update

Our aim over the next three months is to reduce incidents of anti-social behaviour. We will do this by increasing police presence and responding swiftly to reports of nuisance behaviour, harassment, and public disorder. We will continue with community engagement and partnership working to solve the root causes of these issues.

Tackling anti-social behaviour (ASB).

Issued: 31 May 2025

Status Update

We are aware that this type of issue tends to be exacerbated during the summer months and as such we have plans to focus on it over the next three months and increase our presence in those locations. We will do this by identifying repeat locations and where suitable creating problem solving records. This will naturally involve a partnership approach with the local authority and housing agencies to tackle the root causes of this type of concern.
