Status Update
Recently we have conducted high visibility patrols around the shop in Ladden Garden Village following reports of drug misuse in the alley way. Two further community resolutions regarding low level drug possession and due to be completed in the coming weeks.

Patrols and action taken around shop thefts in the Yate area. Targeted patrols to support local shop workers and security, and taking action against offenders.

Status Update
Yate NPT arrested a group of three people for committing shop thefts around the Yate area. They were charged with 21 offences between them and are due to appear in court later in March and early April.
We have also arrested a male for multiple shop thefts in the Yate area. He has plead guilty and court and was due to be sentenced on 5th March. Unfortunately the person has gone on to commit further shop lifting offences and has been remanded into police custody to appear at court today (3rd March 2026). A criminal behaviour order has been requested by Yate NPT to try and stop the behaviour going forward.
Lastly Yate NPT arrested another male at the end of February for a shop lifting offence. They plead guilty at court and were given a suspended sentence and a Criminal Behaviour Order for three years.

Over this summer a large group of youths have caused ASB in and around Yate shopping Centre mostly around Tesco store.
This includes large gatherings of groups, using intimidating and abusive behaviour

Status Update
We have completed a patrol visibility and engagement plan around the behaviour of youths in the shopping centre. This has allowed the Beat Team to target key individuals causing issues. As a result we have issued 2 young people with two acceptable behaviour contracts and another young person with a Community Protection Warning.
