Status Update

Shoplifting - In March, there were 4 incidents of theft from shop that have already resulted in a charge, three individuals who have offended separately have been bailed to appear at court. 2 incidents have resulted in a Community Resolution being issued. Officers have been conducting regular foot patrols in Staines targeting Shoplifting and Antisocial Behaviour. Local PCSOs have also been visible in Staines and have worked closely with security officers in the town centre for crime prevention.

Acquisitive Crime - Over the last several months various operations have been carried out targeting suspects utilising the travel networks with the aim of disrupting their offending. This has resulted in numerous successes including an arrest for theft of motor vehicle following a pursuit. We have also been proactively targeting prolific offenders, resulting in charges and remands for robbery, as well as using court conditions to deter reoffending and limit their access in and around Staines.
