Nuisance bikes.

Issued: 3 Feb 2026

Status Update

Officers have been working hard to reduce nuisance bike reports by increasing visibility in affected areas. This includes using a ‘design it out’ approach, where officers and partner agencies look at how the layout of specific locations contributes to the problem and identify practical changes that can prevent these areas being used for this type of behaviour.

Officers will continue to monitor reports, carry out regular patrols and focus their visibility in hotspot locations to deter offending. They are also promoting education to help riders understand the impact this behaviour has on the wider community.
