Status Update
We are working in close partnership with a range of agencies as part of a coordinated multi agency response to this matter, including Housing Associations. Officers have been actively engaging with members of the public while on patrol, speaking with residents, business owners, and community leaders to gain a clearer understanding of local concerns, address community issues, and gather additional information and intelligence.
A number of proactive operations have been carried out in the area, with officers deployed in both plain clothes and high visibility patrols.
Information and feedback from the public, residents, and community representatives are vital in assisting officers to identify key individuals involved.
The team continues to work closely with partner agencies, schools, and local organisations to take positive action, respond robustly to reports of crime, and develop intelligence. This enables officers to use appropriate legislation to address offending behaviour and reduce the presence of those identified as causing issues in the area.
We are encouraging residents and businesses to report all incidents of anti social behaviour so that we can consider the use of Community Protection Notices to deter conduct that has a negative impact on the local community. To do this effectively, we rely on the continued support of the public in reporting incidents and sharing any concerns.
If you have information about drug dealing in the area, you can report this anonymously to Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or by using the following link:
https://crimestoppers-uk.org/give-information/forms/pre-form
Members of the public are encouraged to report all incidents via 101, or 999 in an emergency. Reports can also be made online or in person at your local General Enquiry Office at Admiral Street Police Station or St Anne Street Police Station.
