Local Priorities

Using a combination of your feedback and our own data, we have set the below as the things your local neighbourhood policing teams in Wisbech will prioritise for April - June 2026:
• Tackling anti-social behaviour (ASB) in the town centre
• Working with partner agencies to tackle street drinking
• Working with the business community to combat retail crime and ASB

Issued: 30 Mar 2026

Status Update

Tackling anti-social behaviour (ASB) in the town centre

Neighbourhood officers have conducted both high visibility and low-profile plain clothed patrols to address this priority, dealing with any issues they encountered. They also continue to work in partnership with local agencies, including Town Rangers, to combat the issue in the town centre and peripheral areas.

Working with partner agencies to tackle street drinking

Officers have conducted patrols in the town centre and worked with partners to identify target areas and times where the issue is most prevalent. This partnership work will become more visible to the public in the coming weeks and beyond.

We have also re-instated an operation that focusses on issues connected to homelessness in an effort to address the problem.

Working with the business community to combat retail crime and ASB

Wisbech town centre has two dedicated officers supporting businesses and community interests.

We have been building on existing partnerships, working with businesses, the local authority, and other agencies to deliver effective solutions to combat retail crime and associated ASB.

The work conducted on the other two neighbourhood priorities will have a direct impact on this area of focus.
