Nuisance motorcycles.
Issued: 3 Feb 2026
Status Update
Local officers have been dealing with ongoing problems caused by nuisance motorbikes. Officers have been patrolling areas where residents have reported noisy and dangerous riding.
One person linked to nuisance riding previously had a Community Protection Warning in place. A Community Protection Warning sets clear rules that must be followed to stop behaviour that affects the local community. The warning has now ended after checks showed the individual followed the conditions, and there has been a clear improvement in their behaviour.
In a separate case, an illegal Surron‑style motorbike was seized, and the rider was reported for riding without insurance.
Officers have also gathered information about where nuisance motorbikes were being ridden for recreation and where they were being stored. This activity has now been disrupted, helping to reduce further problems in the area.
