We have been responding to reports of antisocial behaviour, including concerns about drug use, noisy behaviour and neighbour disputes. By working closely with the local council and housing associations, we have issued and enforced Community Protection Warnings and Community Protection Notices to help stop this behaviour. A Community Protection Warning is an early warning that tells someone their behaviour must change. If the behaviour continues, a Community Protection Notice can be issued. This is a legal notice that sets clear conditions and can lead to further action if it is not followed.

We have also increased patrols in areas where problems happen most often and held drop‑in sessions so residents can speak to officers and report any further concerns. Recently, officers carried out a welfare check at an address linked to ongoing anti‑social behaviour. Two people ran from the address and were arrested. They were arrested for having an offensive weapon and for having drugs with intent to supply. Both individuals are now on strict bail conditions. We are working with the housing association to look at further powers to help prevent this behaviour from happening again.

In another case, following reports of antisocial behaviour at Ashford Designer Outlet, one young person was given a Community Protection Warning, and another was given an Acceptable Behaviour Agreement. An Acceptable Behaviour Agreement sets clear rules and expectations and helps the police work with the young person and support services to prevent further problems. These measures include conditions such as not carrying catapults and not gathering in large groups that can lead to rowdy behaviour.

Local officers have been patrolling areas where residents have reported problems with nuisance motorbikes. Officers have also been stopping bikes being used in an unsafe or antisocial way.

One person was stopped after being seen riding an illegal e‑bike. The rider attempted to get away but was safely detained by officers. During a search, a quantity of drugs was found. This person has now been charged with nine offences and remains in prison until their next court hearing. The charges include supplying cannabis, having heroin with intent to supply, driving while disqualified, refusing to provide a blood sample, and driving without insurance.

In a separate incident, another rider was given a Section 59 warning following repeated reports of antisocial riding on Curtis Road in Willesborough. A Section 59 warning is issued when a vehicle is used in a way that causes alarm, distress or annoyance to the public. If this rider is seen riding in an anti‑social way again, their motorbike can be seized.
