Status Update

You Said, We Did:
Operation Halt has been put in place regarding repeat complaints of speeding and other road related concerns.

In response to feedback from our PACT meetings, the Radcliffe Neighbourhood Policing Team have conducted several co-ordinated taskings, utilising our partner agencies to address the issues raised.

To combat anti-social behaviour (ASB), the Radcliffe NPT have conducted high visibility patrolling and worked alongside Bury Council ASB team and CCTV operatives to identify and manage the people responsible. This has resulted in several arrests, youth offending initiatives and prosecutions. We have also worked with Bury Council to issue Acceptable Behaviour Contracts to several youths who have been causing issues at retail outlets and fast food restaurants. Overall, these tactics have helped to reduce the amount of ASB being reported.

Attendees at our PACT meeting expressed concerns over drug dealing and drug use. Utilising intelligence gathered from CrimeStoppers reports, the Radcliffe NPT have successfully executed warrants and discovered several cannabis farms across Radcliffe. At the majority of cannabis farms, the electricity has been bypassed, which poses a significant fire risk to neighbouring properties and their residents. We have worked with Electricity Northwest electricians to ensure that these properties have been made safe and (where required) conducted follow-up fire assessment visits with GMFR.

Following a spate of thefts from motor vehicles, officers targeted a particular area, conducting high visibility patrolling, leaflet drops and thorough investigation to identify, arrest and charge the offender. This male was responsible for multiple thefts and has subsequently received a custodial sentence in court.

Any information or concerns to report these via the GMP website or anonymously via CrimeStoppers using the telephone number 0800 555 111.
