Road safety issues.

Issued: 3 Feb 2026

Status Update

We have been carrying out regular mobile patrols across the local area to address concerns about speeding and vehicle safety. This includes both mobile and static speed checks, with enforcement action taken where necessary.

Officers have also spoken with road users about road safety and why it is important. This has included advice on basic vehicle maintenance and making sure vehicles are safe and legal to use on the road.

We are also using local Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras. These cameras help us identify vehicles that may not have the correct paperwork, such as valid tax or insurance.

If you have any concerns, please contact your local beat officer, PC Bowler, or attend a local drop‑in session.

Status Update

Police will continue to share these concerns with Dover District Council and the Dog Warden, who are the lead agencies responsible for dealing with dog fouling.

If you have information about who may be causing this problem, please report your concerns through the Kent Police website.
