Road safety.

Issued: 3 Feb 2026

Status Update

Residents raised concerns about vehicles parking on corners and near give‑way junctions in East Folkestone, which can block access for emergency and larger vehicles.

Officers have carried out regular patrols in the area and spoken with local residents, including those at Harbour Church. No further issues have been reported since.

Ongoing roadworks and limited parking across Folkestone mean this may continue to be an issue. This has been explained to residents, who understand the wider situation. We will continue to work with the council to look at possible options, including parking permits, although some residents have said this would not be a preferred solution. This remains an ongoing issue, and we will continue to work with partners to reduce further concerns.

Drugs.

Issued: 3 Feb 2026

Status Update

A property in East Ward has been made subject to a Partial Closure Order following joint work between the police and partner agencies. The address had been linked to drug use and antisocial behaviour.

Officers regularly patrol East Ward to help prevent drug use and related issues. We will continue to look at other affected areas and work with partners to reduce drug use and drug dealing across the ward.
