In response to concerns about dog fouling, local officers have carried out joint patrols with the Kent County Council Community Warden in areas popular with dog walkers. During these patrols, they have spoken with dog owners, encouraged responsible behaviour, and promoted the correct disposal of dog waste.

Messages have also been shared online to raise awareness of the issue and remind people of the importance of keeping public spaces clean, safe and welcoming for everyone.

Residents across the Hythe wards have been sent alerts about rogue traders through My Community Voice, the police two-way messaging service.

People are encouraged to report any suspicious activity and to look out for elderly or vulnerable neighbours who may be more at risk of doorstep crime.

The Kent County Council Community Warden also continues to share doorstep‑deterrent posters for residents to display. These help discourage cold callers and provide added reassurance.
