Action – partnership working – We will continue to work closely with the council, fire and other agencies to tackle ASB. · High visibility patrols in our local parks, high streets and community events.
Parking Concerns have been raised recently about the parking in and around all our local schools and in certain residential areas.
Action – · We as a team are looking at educating motorists and will continue patrolling in the areas at the relevant times. · Action has been taken where vehicles are parked in a dangerous manner that impacts the safety of other road users We would encourage anyone who is wanting to report illegal parking to the councils Civil Parking Enforcement Team who are responsible for most parking offences like double yellow lines. You can do this by calling Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190 or emailing [email protected].
Speeding is a big concern in all parts of the local area, but certain locations have been highlighted by residents. Action - · We are conducting regular speed check throughout the area along with our Road Safety Team (CREST). Already we have issued traffic offence reports (TORs) to drivers exceeding the speed limit. · Residents have already set up Community Speedwatch schemes which are running well and would encourage anyone who is interested in setting up a scheme in their area to email the Speedwatch Team.
