Anti-social road use and inconsiderate parking at Primary Schools across the beat area.
You said: You have raised issues surrounding inconsiderate road use around our primary schools.

Issued: 1 Apr 2026

Status Update

We will: Working with NWLDC enforcement teams and schools to promote a safer environment around local schools.
We have completed patrols and engagement at some of our local primary schools and have offered advice to those parking inconsiderately. We have also been in to school assemblies to encourage our young residents to be aware of road safety.

We have conducted patrols at Measham, Albert Village, Oakthorpe and Donisthorpe Primary Schools over the past few weeks where we have engaged with road users and listened to your concerns. We continue to work with our schools to unsure they are safe environments for all.

We have further visits planned in to cover all primary schools across the beat and will provide updates following these operations.

To date we have completed enforcement operations at several primary schools within the beat area. These have included Albery Village Primary, Donisthorpe Primary, St Charles Primary in Measham and Oakthorpe Primary. As a result a number of parents/carers have been spoken to and provided with advice. A number of tickets have also been issued for those causing repeat or serious hazards. We have further operations planned to address the issue at other schools across the beat.

During this month we have conducted further checks at Blackfordby Primary. We are continuing our patrols and work with the primary schools to encourage and enforce safer road use.

Licensing Checks and work with local Licensed Premises across the beat area.
You said: We have received an increase in the number of issues reported, associated with licensed premises in the area.

Issued: 1 Apr 2026

Status Update

We will: We will work with licensing officers and complete visits to licensed premises to ensure conditions are being adhered to, to ensure a safe environment for all.

We have completed visits at licensed premises and engaged with licencees around safety and their responsibilities. All parties so far have engaged well and are keen to maintain high standards. We have also secured merchandise associated with our Walk Away campaign. This surrounds the message to encourage those in our pubs and nightclubs to walk away from confrontation. We will be engaging with our pubs and handing out items during night time economy patrols.
Whilst we have liaised with a number of our licensees across the beat, we are still seeing pockets of anti-social behaviour and reports of drug use in our public houses. In light of this, and the coming months showing World Cup games, this priority will continue in to the next period.

We are continuing to engage with and liaise with licensed premises across the beat. We are working with licensing and offering guidance to local establishments.
