Local Priorities

The use of off road bikes/scooters/vehicles driving/riding around the area. This is causing a nuisance to the public, damaging park lands and can be dangerous. This is a recurring problem. We will continue to monitor this issue

Issued: 8 May 2026

Status Update

This issue is wider than simply this area. We are seeing ongoing issues with people using off road bikes (and road legal ones) and riding them in an anti social or illegal manner. We are also seeing crimes occur utilising motorbikes as vehicles to escape the area in.
We have been discussing these issues with other departments and work is taking place to target key nominals who are known. This work is ongoing - and when we can inform on the results we will do.
In the last month, the reports have remained low - but with the impending warmer weather and the longer days we expect this issue to appear again.
High visibility patrols are continuing within the locations with our partner teams.

Actioned: 8 May 2026

Vehicles parking inconsiderately around school pick up/drop off times and speeding in the areas as well.

Issued: 8 May 2026

Status Update

At present time the reports coming to ourselves are still low. We are aware the issues still may remain and ask that if you see offences to please let us know. If you have dashcam footage please look up Operation Snap on the internet and submit the footage.
We will be continuing proactive patrols when available to deal with the traffic offences.

We have sent a letter to all secondary schools in the area to pass to parents about illegal/inconsiderate parking. If you wish to receive this for your childs school please get in touch.
I would encourage the local community to report further issues around this matter on the website - direct to the local team or to Crimestoppers anonymously.

Reduction of retail related offences. Police action to reduce retail crime where offences also include offences against shop workers. This is a continued priority.

Issued: 8 May 2026

Status Update

The local team continue to speak with the stores in the area and our other partners to tackle business crime. Neighbourhood officers are working towards both Criminal Behaviour Orders (CBO) and restraining orders on prolific shoplifting offenders in an attempt to further deter their criminality. We have been offering referrals to repeat offenders including into the Offending 2 Recovery program which looks to combat the reasons for offending in order to prevent the reasons for committing crime - and looking to have this as a clause in the CBO.
If you have been the victim of a business related crime - please get in touch and we can offer help and advice as appropriate. We want to work with you and support you.
