Working with Birmingham City Council, local partners and support agencies to address causes of ASB, street drinking and begging.
PSPO breaches continue to be issued to those causing Anti Social Behaviour, work continues with our partners to gather intelligence and to reduce incidents. Community Protection Warnings continue to be issued as required.

April 2026 Update

Continuing to conduct daily high visibility patrols on Soho Road, Wellington Road and Lozells Road.

Soho Road
Joint patrols with Soho Bid, Nishkam Security, Trident and Turnaround on the Soho Road.
Numerous talks conducted at South and City College regarding knife crime, the incel community, career and recruitment events.
Numerous arrests have been made for possession with an intent to supply drugs, being in a possession of an offensive weapon, shop lifting and being wanted.

Lozells Road
In the process of arranging joint all out days with partnership agencies in the coming months.
Officers attending Welford Primary School Coffee Morning when available.
Trying to set up a monthly drop in surgery in Lozells for the community to come and speak to Police.

Reduce violence against women and girls

Status Update

We will work collaboratively with partners to ensure a whole system response.
High visibility patrols will be conducted with partners (Womens Aid and Turnaround) Safer travel and design out crime team to protect and prevent future crime in various locations.
Officers will collate information were women might be at the risk of exploitation.
Schools liaison officers will give talks in schools and colleges.

March 2026 Update -

Joint patrols being conducted with Turnaround and Trident on the Soho Road. Offering support to the sex workers. School liaison officer conducting inputs in secondary schools across the area.
18TH March 2026 – Input at South and City College regarding Violence Against women and girls.

Road harm reduction targetting the fatal four, speeding, driving whilst under the influence of drink / drugs, driving while on mobile phone and no selt belts.

Status Update

Joint operations will be conducted with partners and other departments of WMP, such as WMP Traffic, Road Harm prevention team, DVLA, MIB, DATA TAG, WM Fire Service.

Officers have been trained to use the speed enforcement equipment to arrange joint speed awareness patrols with resident group once residents are trained.
