Road safety issues.

Issued: 3 Feb 2026

Status Update

Road Safety continues to be a concern for many residents, and PC Bailey takes these worries seriously. Tackling this problem is not something that can be fixed with a single roadside check, so she is focusing on a longer term plan to understand which roads are causing the most risk. As part of this work, she has been speaking with drivers across her wards about improving their driving, slowing down, and keeping others safe. She is also working closely with the council and specialist teams within Kent Police as part of her ongoing approach to reducing speeding.

PC Bailey encourages residents to continue sharing their concerns with her. You can speak with her at her ward surgeries or contact her through My Community Voice. If you are not yet signed up, simply search "My Community Voice" online and follow the steps to join.

Antisocial behaviour - general.

Issued: 3 Feb 2026

Status Update

PC Bailey continues to focus on tackling antisocial behaviour across her wards. She has been spending time in parks, streets and retail areas where residents and businesses have reported concerns. During her patrols, she has spoken with young people gathering in these locations, helping them understand how their behaviour can affect others in the community. She has also visited local shops to ensure staff feel safe and supported.

As the summer months approach, a period when antisocial behaviour often increases, PC Bailey is already planning ahead with colleagues. This includes preparing school inputs and increasing visible patrols to help prevent issues before they begin.

She encourages residents to keep sharing their concerns. You can speak with PC Bailey at her ward surgeries or contact her through My Community Voice. If you are not yet registered, you can choose to join by searching "My Community Voice" online.
